ABOUT US
After the 2016 elections, Rachel Dart and Avery Deutsch began furiously looking up ways to get involved. We knocked on doors, sent texts, and made phone calls. Our friends started to come to us to ask us if we could direct them to volunteer opportunities, so we began rounding up links and sending them along, and roping our friends into volunteering. In 2018 we recruited more friends to knock doors with us, and Gabriel Vega Weissman joined our squad.
For the 2020 elections, we knew we had to up the ante. Gabriel and Rachel relocated first to Pennsylvania for the presidential election and then to Georgia for the Senate runoff, knocking 5,000 doors, and our friends and family were extremely eager to volunteer too. The flood of requests from our community for information about how, where, and when to volunteer led to our weekly newsletter. In the 2022 midterms the work continued, with a revival of the weekly newsletter and a trip back to Georgia for the Senate runoff once again. And now it's 2024, and we're back with a fully updated website so that volunteers have a hub you can return to that makes the task of finding opportunities easy and streamlined.
We believe that volunteering with your friends/colleagues/peers builds community and, frankly, is much more fun.
WHY VOLUNTEER?
Thank you for visiting our site–you’re one step closer to taking action for a cause you care about.
It’s easy to feel like politics is overwhelming, and that one person can’t do much. But actually, volunteers are the lifeblood of any movement. Any time, effort, and/or money you can give is worthwhile. Even one conversation on the phone with an undecided voter can move the needle.
Please explore our site and don’t hesitate to be in touch with any questions!
